In the beginning...
Mrs Gledhill’s Home Made Preserves are the result of a lifelong hobby of making preserves from the fruits of the earth. Much of the fruit is homegrown, scrumped or picked from the wayside hedges of roving country lanes of Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.
The preserves are made in the traditional way using the open pan stove top method. A silver half crown is placed in the bottom of the copper pan to prevent the jam from sticking and burning.
All the jams are hand-made by Mrs Gledhill herself and you can meet her at many of the Craft Fairs around Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
Especially for the Christmas season she also prepares gift boxes with three jars of your own choice: and mince-meat with almonds or Jamaican Rum.
Christmas Puddings made in the traditional way suitable for vegetarians or diabetics are also available according to the size you desire.
In this age of preservatives and additives, why not treat yourself to some good old English cooking.
